Suggested E-Mail CampaignAn e-mail campaign is very similar to a mail campaign. Instead of mailing out your letters via the post office, you are sending e-mails. With a strong e-mail campaign, you can reach a larger audience very quickly. However, we believe that people and organizations respond better to a physical letter than they do with e-mails. If you do not have the time or prefer to send e-mails, we suggest that you do it in a similar manner as we outlined in our suggested mail campaign. Basically this involves sending out a monthly e-mail to anyone who could make a difference regarding the issue you are involved in. Since e-mails are very easy to send out, do not be tempted to send e-mails daily or weekly to the same people. This will annoy them and they will just write it off as spam e-mails. One e-mail a month is more that adequate to show them you are serious about your cause. No SpamWe are strongly against spam. Spam is actually one of our issues we are involved in. Sending e-mails to politicians and businesses expressing your thoughts and desires is not spam. If you send e-mail to your friends and family encouraging them to get involved, that is not spam. If you send e-mails to encourage involvement to individuals that you do not know and that did not request that you do, that is spam. If you purchase a mailing list and send an and e-mail to everyone on that list, chances are that is spam. We strongly discourage you to not send out spam e-mails. |
